Mystery shoppers tend to pick what hours they want to work as independent contractors they are not required to work the normal 9-5. They are given an assignment and a time frame to complete it in.
To be a mystery shopper you must be able to communicate your thoughts to others through a written report. You need to have an eye for details, such as if the restrooms are clean and checked on a regular bases, if there is trash in and around the parking lot and the appearance and impressions that the employees of the store have left you with.
A mystery shopper has to be able to critique job performance of employees. Did the employee greet you, were they smiling when they did. Were their cloths clean and was their hair brushed. Did they seem friendly and willing to help you or did you feel like they wanted to be some place else?
